Democracy Dash

Democracy Dash is a NT Youth Week event that is designed to teach students about democracy, the important work of democratic institutions and the responsibilities of citizens who live in a democracy. Students 'dash' around the CBD in an 'amazing race' style event, visiting several organisations and completing an activity at each location.

Students travel in teams of approximately 8 to 10 students with a teacher accompanying each group. The start and finish line is at Civic Park, which is located between Darwin City Council and Brown’s Mart on Smith Street.

It is organized by the NT Electoral Commission and is open to all students in years 9-12.
